Whilst the Loire Valley region does not per se have a coastline, there are a number of lovely beaches around Saint Nazaire which are worth mentioning. Saint-Nazare is known as the town of 20 beaches and is the start point on the Côte d'Amour coastline which heads north to Le Croisic. There are lots of fine sandy beaches, rocky outcrops and little coves to explore.
