Updated

In 1849, these brothers from Anjou set up the Cointreau distillery and produced their first bottles of Cointreau in 1875. This triple sec liqueur, which tastes of bitter and sweet orange peel, is still produced in the Loire and is usually drank as an aperitif or a digestive.
