Saumur-Champigny

One of the biggest and best vineyards in the area

Imprint
Updated

The wines produced by the Saumur-Champigny vineyards are regarded as some of the best in the Saumur region. Having a deep red colour and a cherry aroma, their reds are produced predominantly from the Cabernet Franc grape.

Over 1,000 hectares of vineyards grow grapes which are then turned into Saumur-Champigny appellation wines. Some wines do contain Cabernet Sauvignon or Pineay d'Anuis grapes. The wines are more complex than those of the normal Saumur appellation.

The vineyard organises events and tours throughout the year, please contact them directly to find out more.
