With 200 years of tradition, the vineyards of the Château du Coing are some of the oldest in the Nantes region and are even said to have been cultivated as early as Roman times. Producing some excellent Muscadet wines, this pretty vineyard is now run by Véronique Günther-Chéreau.

Their passion for Muscadet started during the XVth century. Since then, all generations brought their personal touch to the estate.

Bernard Chéreau, a winemaker’s son from Monnières, decides to grow his own vineyard. Ahead of his time, he demonstrates through his efforts that producing high quality wines can be appreciated by a targeted and exclusive clientele such as restaurateurs, wine shops and individuals. This success allows him to acquire the Château du C oing in 1973.

Today it is his daughter, Véronique Günther Chéreau, passionate by authenticity, who makes her domain an iconic property for all fans of this wine: Muscadet with local flavors.

Since 2010, Véronique’s daughter, Aurore, graduated in oenology, joined them in this adventure.
