Airports for La Loire

Operating international flights from Europe, North America and Africa, Nantes airport is one of the largest airports in Western France. Located just eight kilometres from the city of Nantes, it takes only 15 minutes by car. Regular shuttle buses take passengers to and from the airport and a taxi rank is located opposite the entrance to Hall 1. All major care hire rental companies operate from Nantes airport.

If you are intending to hire a car for your stay in the Loire, consider flying to one of Paris' major airports as they're located just a short drive from the eastern tip of the Loire Valley. The main Paris airports are Orly in the south and Charles de Gaulle in the north.

With regular flights from around Europe, Tours airport is conveniently located in central Loire. It is just 20 minutes drive from the centre of Tours and receives both scheduled and chartered flights. There is a regular bus shuttle into Tours, dropping off at the train station and a taxi rank outside the terminal. A number of car hire companies also have offices at the airport in the long stay car park.
